The institution of masquerade/masks (and staff, rod staves, etc.) dates from the era that human beings lived in woods amongst wild beasts. Initiation was mainly into associated cults.
The congregating places in the bush for the cults of masking societies (re dance masquerade) were of course holly or situated separately to create right atmosphere for rehearsals that form part of mundane initiation. This sort of resort is becoming increasingly scarce so that initiations are now often conducted in buildings or makeshift thatched structures.
Many have evolved outside ARUOKUN over the millennia, such that persons are routinely initiated to different masquerade societies and cults to keep them under the control of the priesthood, and through them the community. This is not an African peculiarity.
I was initiated before age ten; others are baptized as babies. These initiation rituals in every case are intended to link the destiny of the initiate to a Deity and/or ancestors. The link or union is supposed to be for life. Natural initiation through ARUOKUN SESSIONS make initiates participate in a universal session that has been on since the world began.
Goal Of Conversion
Natural initiation can be long, taking decades or even many incarnations. This is normal and those who seek shortcuts often end up under the fangs of the demon. The plan of the priesthood is designed to capture those in haste. If you are focused and dedicated, plans of the enemy would be thwarted and their expectations remain unfulfilled.
The members of the cult, coven, or church then turn on the person with witchcraft, spells, subjecting them to Spiritual, Psychic, and Ritual Abuse (SPRA). This is the source of all the problems (spiritual and otherwise) that plagues the person who reject them, and remain bent on attaining salvation through ARUOKUN. The candidate for divine initiation must chose this ARUOKUN alternative path because salvation under them is impossible. The choice is clear. The main goal of the ARUOKUN COMMUNITY on MOUNT ANUBODE is to facilitate attainment of salvation.
Aruokun sessions being eternal, the initiate can continue from where the initiate stopped from incarnate to incarnation of the soul.
